Each episodes introduces an alien mental disorder, shaped by literalising experiences of individuals navigating anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mental health conditions.
Hell Express: Virtual Therapy (2017–2019) is a moving image series simulating leaked videos from a fictional mental health network. Each episode introduces an alien disorder shaped by real interviews: resulting in a surrealist diagnostic system that’s half folklore and half reality. Originally distributed anonymously on YouTube, the work parodies the oversaturation of health information online.
Hell Express: Virtual Therapy was later installed at Leyden Gallery, London. An inflatable bubble house, where viewers where invited to crawl into an confined space isolated from external noise.
