Misery of the Abstract Dinner (2022) is the third instalment of Rawborg Series (2020-Current), a world-building project that personifies internal thoughts as cyborgs. Set in the mind of a traumatised host, the moving-image stages a symbolic dinner party where all three Rawborgs appear together for the first time. Through veiled tension, the film foreshadows an imminent escape from #1.11

Hosted by #1.11, the youngest Rawborg who holds the host’s suppressed desires and creative impulses, the dinner unfolds in ritualistic absurdity. Her guests include #3.33, the trauma-bearer, and #2.22, the protector of the system. Their humanoid forms, surreal gestures, and disjointed choreography blur the lines between reality and internal psychodrama. Continuing on from the universe of Rawborgs, the moving image propels the world-building of Wang’s project further into digital psychology order.
