What does the Rawborgs got to say...? Could you please provide your hash?
Rawborg Interviews (2020–2023) is a three-part performative sound works where Wang performs improvised conversations with cyborg fragmentations of the self. A form of speculative self-interrogation emerges as emotional processing becomes externalised, surreal and affective performance.
Each interview is paired with a downloadable Earth ID marking a symbolic detachment from the mind into the world.
What happens when fictional selves are registered as entities? Do they remain psychological extensions or gain autonomy?
Through repeated embodiment, the work raises questions about the limits of self-hood: If each Rawborg bears the same face and voice, altered only slightly, how many selves can one vessel hold before it fractures?
