Geologically linking worlds

An application such as ‘Happen’ collects physical locations of one user and matches it with another user on the application. This weird shared information is demonstrating a use of physical location in our existing space to interlink two independent consciousness. I noted down ideas of geographical location and how that enables a connection to virtual realities. A two-point geographical series of numbers prompts a meeting in virtual reality could be represented visually using google maps, or painting. I’m trying to figure out a way to contextualise this idea for an experiment. What medium could encapsulate the idea of transcending physical to a virtual counterpoint? I’m thinking about an interlinking reaction when you perform an act, in reality, then a monitor will automatically generate an action on the screen. Thus, physical prompts virtual. This will be noted and designed better in sketchbook process.
