Hell Express: Virtual Therapy (2017-2019) is a moving image series simulating leaked videos from mental health network in an unknown world. Originally distributed anonymously on YouTube, the work masks itself as digital found objects: origins untraceable, explanations deliberately withheld.

Each episodes introduces an alien mental disorder, shaped by taking the literalised definitions of experiences gathered through interviews with individuals navigating anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other real-world conditions. The result is a surrealist diagnostic system that’s half folklore and half reality.

Drawing from low-resolution internet ephemera, anonymous forum cultures and retro self-help media, the series is a surrealist parody of the oversaturated health information scattered across the web.

Hell Express: Virtual Therapy was later installed at Leyden Gallery, London. An inflatable bubble house, where viewers where invited to crawl into an confined space isolated from external noise.
